AccesSportAmerica has worked with MDROCC over the last 3-4 years. They are an entirely volunteer group of people who train and support camps for special needs kids and young adults. They have various camps all across the US throughout each year (from Music camps, theater, etc) and they use the canoes for recreation. Peter, his brother Will and their friend Russ all are active outrigger paddlers in Boston. Thanks Nancy.

We had a great turnout, with beautiful weather. Thanks to all that participated, with extra props to those that got into the spirit of the day and dressed up. Congratulations to all the winners of their divisions- you were awesome.
Hopefully we'll see you all in the next Outrigger Challenge, and maybe some will even start coming out with us on a regular basis. We'll have a video presentation soon, please check back for that.

Offseason paddling workouts are continuing on Saturdays at 8:00 am at the beach ready to go. Figure on about 2 hours, and welcome paddlers who are out for a workout as well as new paddlers looking to try out the sport. We look forward to seeing you all again. MDROCC is proud to announce our annual Outrigger Challenge at Mother's Beach in Marina del Rey. Bring a crew of five, and we'll provide the canoe, paddles, and steersperson, so that you can battle it out with other crews. Come with friends and make a few more while you try the exciting sport of outrigger canoeing in a day of fun competition, with check-in at 8am, and racing starting at approximately 9am.
