Marina Del Rey Outrigger Canoe Club and SCORA invites you to the 2010 Kahanamoku Klassic Outrigger Race, sponsored by The Waterfront Restaurant. We welcome you down to "da baddest" race of the year. Click here for Race Packet

Race Courses:
Novice: approx 4 mile course. click here for course map
Open approx 11 mile course. click here for course map
Note: Courses shown are approximate. SCORA officials will determine exact course.
Parking: 3 lots for cars available. Parking is $6 per vehicle. Please try to bring correct change to speed the process. Parking will go fast- come early to get a good spot. Also be aware that there is construction on Washington Blvd. which will affect the routes to get to the race site. Please refer to maps for parking lots .
Trailers: $18 Unload at beach and park at lot across street. ONLY TRAILERS WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK IN THIS LOT. Trailer Unloading: Marina club members will be on hand to help expedite the unloading of trailers to prevent traffic backup. We will unload it off the trailer on to the sand area only. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CLUB TO HAVE THEIR OWN CLUB MEMBERS ON HAND TO GET THE CANOES TO THEIR RIGGING LOCATION. We appreciate everyone's cooperation to keep it moving smoothly.

2:30 pm Awards Ceremony AFTER PARTY: As convenient as can be. Across the street from the race, you can stroll across at your leisure, leave your car parked where it is. There will be drink specials and music.

LUNCH: Delicious food provided by Salt Creek Grille RAFFLE AND SILENT AUCTION: -We have great items for our raffle, which will be drawn throughout the day. -We will again have a "GOLDEN RAFFLE " for $50 tickets will put you in the running for a $1200 shopping spree -We also have a Silent Auction for 5 days in a Costa Rica beach bungalow. Jim "Kimo" West: We are pleased to announce that Jim "Kimo" West will be performing some of his slack key stylings after the men launch and before the award ceremony. Support him and buy some of his CD's for your drive home. Additional Information:
-Restrooms: Porta-potties at the race site -Pets: Dogs are not allowed on the beach. -BBQ's not allowed on beach, but there is a designated grill area down the beach (not convenient) -No glass bottles on beach -No tents with stakes on beach -PROOF OF INSURANCE- All Non-SCORA Crews must show proof of insurance and complete Individual Liability Waiver
