Had a great day in ka'anapali. Wasn't sure if I was going to make it on a canoe today but I did. I raced open 4 unofficial (told you I was on the bottom of the totem pole), in 25mph offshore wind. Open four for those who don't know means open less two paddlers. I sat 2 (2 doesn't call) did an uni turn, and guess what, we actually beat another club, napili. I was stoked, so glad we didnt dfl. I know Matt and earl killed it doing olamau and there is absolutely no comparison, congratulations to you both sincerely, but this was a really a fun experience for me. And I know many of you have raced here certainly more credible races and this is nothing. Oh, my boyfriend took gold in both of his races.
Sweet!! Maybe next weekend I can race official and kick it up a notch.
